Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Annotatory AI Projects Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Nily mobile app ("Nily", the "app"). Nily is a wellness and lifestyle app. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email, phone number, and a password or Google Sign-In identifier, used to create and secure your account.
  • Wellness content you enter: meals and photos of meals, weight and body measurements, blood-pressure entries, fasting logs, supplements, habits, mood, and journal entries (text or voice).
  • Health data (read-only): with your permission, we read steps, sleep, heart rate, and activity from Apple Health (HealthKit) or Google Health Connect to personalize your insights and wellness score. We do not write data back to these platforms in this version.
  • Photos: images you add for meals, progress, or your profile.
  • Device and usage data: device model, app version, language, a device/push identifier, and product-analytics events (screens viewed, features used) to operate and improve the app.
  • Payment information: when you buy physical products (e.g., supplements), payment is processed by our payment provider (Razorpay). We do not store your full card details.

How we use your information

  • Provide the app and its features, and personalize your insights and wellness score.
  • Send reminders and notifications you enable.
  • Process orders for physical products.
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with law.
  • Improve the app through aggregated, product-analytics.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your health data for advertising.

AI features and third-party AI processing

Some Nily features use artificial intelligence — for example, the AI companion, insights and summaries, and meal-photo nutrition estimation.

We ask for your consent before any data is sent to an AI provider. AI features are off by default. When you enable them and use them, the specific content you choose to share (such as your message, the meal photo, or the wellness context relevant to that request) is sent securely to our AI providers to generate a response:

  • Anthropic (via our processing gateways Portkey and Helicone) — powers the AI companion, insights, and summaries.
  • Google (Gemini) — powers nutrition estimation from meal photos.

These providers process the data only to generate the response for you, under agreements that require confidentiality and data-protection standards equivalent to those described in this policy. They do not use your data to train their models for their own purposes under our configuration. You can turn AI features off at any time in Settings.

Health data (Apple Health / Google Health Connect)

Health data is read only with your explicit permission and is used solely to personalize your in-app experience (insights and wellness score). We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never share it with third parties for advertising or data-mining. If you use AI features and choose to share health-related context in a request, that context is processed as described in Section 3. You can revoke health access at any time in your device settings.

We may also disclose information to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights and safety of users.

Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the app. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (Section 8). We retain limited records where required by law.

Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, withdraw consent, and object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at admin@annotatory.com. You can withdraw AI or health-data consent in-app at any time.

Children

Nily is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our providers operate. We take steps to ensure appropriate protection for such transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notified in the app.
